TICKLED MOON
Tickled Moon creates and publishes personalised children’s books – with original, fun personalisations and engaging, rhyming stories.
Based in Sussex, England, the company was set up in 2019 by actors and filmmakers, Alison Reddihough and Simon Roberts to create ‘personalised books with a BIG heart’.
They have released 7 personalised picture books so far, most recently “The Sleepytown Express” which also comes in a non-personalised version too, their first. Other books are “The Longest Cuddle in the World” and “The Joyful Adventures” (both for 2 names), “What’s That??!!” (for 1-4 names), a birthday story “The Birthday BOO!” (also adapted for twins) and 2 Christmas stories – “The Christmas Wrapper” and “The Christmas BOO!”.
They have also ventured into personalised gifts with “The Family Bus” – a personalised, poetry print – and a seasonal, personalised Calendar.
All their books are written by Alison Reddihough, with illustrations by Jodie Wonford.

2024
NATWEST ACCELERATOR PROGRAM
The Natwest Accelerator program offers support to small businesses. It’s a fantastic scheme that lasts for 6 months and gives weekly informative and monthly coaching sessions.
We’re honoured to have been selected, from hundreds of applications, to be a part of this tremendous scheme for three 6-month sessions in a row, 2023 through 2024. It’s been an invaluable resource for us, giving us lots of insights into running a business, as well as a deeper understanding of our own.

SMALL BUSINESS SUNDAY WINNERS WITH THEO PAPHITIS
Tickled Moon received a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis when they became one of 6 weekly winners to gain a retweet by Theo to his near half a million Twitter followers and 33k IG followers during ‘Small Business Sunday’ (#SBS).
They went on to receive their winner’s certificate from Theo at the SBS Winners Event in Birmingham.

2023
Alison featured in the Feb 2023 edition of Platinum magazine, in an article talking about being part of the ‘sandwich generation’. She talked about how she juggles Tickled Moon with helping her 91-year-old mum and being a working mum to her 2 boys.
Also in Feb, Alison contributed to the article “Parents share the funniest things their children have ever said” in the Metro newspaper.
And in Mar 2023, Alison was part of an article in Best Magazine talking about her favourite 70s TV Show – “The Man From Atlantis”!
In Oct 2023, Alison appeared in the local press Sussex World talking about their new book “The Sleepytown Express” in the article “West Sussex mum’s new children’s book helps toddlers and young kids get to sleep”..
2022
In April-June 2022, Alison appeared in 3 magazine features. In Prima magazine she talked about the importance of her teenage diaries and how they helped her to process her thoughts and feelings. This article also appeared in Best magazine.
And an article in Candis magazine looked at Alison’s friendship of over 40 years with her oldest and dearest friend Hannah.
In Nov 2022, Tickled Moon was mentioned in The Guardian – in their Guardian Labs online article – “Six ways to make your baby or toddler’s Christmas truly magical”.
And in Dec 2022 (and in print in Jan 2023), Alison and Simon were featured in another Guardian article about how their Peloton tread helps keep them healthy whilst running Tickled Moon – “Work(out) from home: one family’s quest for fitness”.
2020
A Christmas 2020 feature in Woman’s Own.
This double page spread was on how Alison and Simon met one Christmas in Panto and highlighted some of their family Christmases together over 20 years of marriage.
